Poets plough well with love their readers hearts
And plant some thoughts to play their palmy parts.
Like pregnant clouds when they no more can keep
Come down for all the lands to bloom and leap.
Poets collect nectar like bees with ease
And offer it to us all for no fees.
They can convert a speck to pearl and make
A storm a kissing breeze for their world’s sake.
They are masterminds who juggle with odds
Creating feasts with clean skill for the gods.
A poet like a warrior staidly fights
Against life’s ills and safeguards people’s rights.
Benignant, candid honest is a bard
And life without his art is but a shard.
Desert the Graces evermore the heart
That cares not for the poets’ noble art.
