Make hibernate when laptop lid is closed:
When you close the lid of your laptop, it goes to blank screen.
To make no blank screen when the laptop lid is closed,
* System->Preferences->System->Power Management.
* Select "On AC Power" tab
* Under Actions in When laptop lid is closed, set the action "Hibernate/Shutdown/Suspend/Do nothing".
After setting the action No blank screen would appear when laptop lid is closed.
