Squid by default does not caches the videos.If your network users mostly uses common video sites such as youtube.com, metacafe.com, withfriendship.com then you can install videocache.The videocache is tool for squid which enables squid to cache videos in the proxy server harddisk.You can save lot of bandwith and increase the speed on videos file using videocache .I will let you know about installation,configuartion and other technical things of videocache in further scarps of mine. |
