All teams will play in IPL3:

Chairman Lalit Modi has said that all IPL teams will play in the 2010 season.. Modi rubbished rumours of Deccan Charger's pull out from this season following Telangana protests...

Terming Deccan Chargers' pullout reports as false, Indian Premier League Commissioner Lalit Modi on Tuesday assured that the defending champions will play in the third edition of the Twenty20 tournament.

Modi said on Twitter, "Reports that DC will not play or xyz may not - please ignore such news. All IPL teams will participate. You have my assurance on that."

Modi's statement comes a day after Chargers warned that they would pull out of the tournament this year if the IPL governing council does not revoke the decision of moving out all their home matches.

The message was sent out by the franchise through a legal notice to BCCI and IPL, two days after Chargers were officially informed that Hyderabad's four matches and Visakhapatnam's two matches had been shifted. The matches have been given to Navi Mumbai and Nagpur in the wake of the Telangana crisis in Andhra Pradesh.

On February 13, Chargers received an email from IPL CEO Sundar Raman notifying the franchise about the revised schedule of matches. In return, on February 15, Chargers responded with a legal notice through its solicitors saying their "client regrets to note that the decision (of shifting matches) have been taken arbitrarily, unilaterally, without the client's consent and in complete breach of the franchise agreement dated April 10, 2008."

The notice further said, "Our client has made all arrangements at exorbitant cost for playing matches in Hyderabad as per the original schedule. If the venue is shifted now, it will cause heavy financial losses. In the event of your failing to reconsider the decision, our client will be justified in withdrawing from IPL 3.

"Your (IPL's) action is also contrary to the spirit of the game, the objective of league matches and the concept of having franchisees from different regions and also against public interest. Please therefore, note that this arbitrary and unilateral decision revising the schedule i.e. shifting of the venues of the matches from Hyderabad / Vizag is not acceptable to our client."
