SESAME RICE - Andhra Recipes

TRY THIS..........SO EASY TO COOK

Ingrediants

5 leaves Curry Leaf
½ tsp. Mustard seeds (black)
5 nos. Red Chilies
½ tsp. Red Gram (split)
Salt to taste
1/4 cup Sesame Seeds(white)
2 tbsps. Vegetable Oil
2 nos. Green Chilies(slit)
4 tsps. Coriander Seeds
1½ cups Vegetables(carrots, potatoes,beans)
1 cup Rice (basmati)
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Process

Method Cook the plain rice and keep aside. Roast sesame till it splutters and becomes golden brown in colour. Take 1 tsp. oil in a kadai and roast the coriander and the red chillies till it gives an aroma. Powder the sesame, coriander and the red chillies and keep aside. Heat the remaining oil in the kadai and add mustard seeds. When the mustard splutters, add chana dal and fry till golden brown. Next, add curry leaves and green chillies. Add all the vegetables, salt. Fry the vegetables till they are cooked. Now, add the sesame-coriander powder to the vegetables and mix well. Switch off the gas. Mix this vegetable with the rice well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with onion raita.
