Poni annamu (Popu annamu or rice)Telangana Special rice
Typical & Tasty Telangana Dish....Easy & Fast & Regular Dish
Ingrediants
1. Cooked rice or leftover rice: 250gms
2. Onions: 1 medium size Onion chopped
3. Greenchilli: 3 Qty
4. Corriander leaves: 25gms
5. Karvepaku leaves: few
5. Jeera (Jilukara): 1 table spoon Qty
6. Mustard Seed: 1 table spoon Qty
7. Tumaric powder(Pasupu or Haldi): 1/4 th of table spoon
8. Oil: 4 tbs
9. Salt: to Taste
10. Red chilli powder: if required
Process
1. Take a pan add Oil and heat few mins
2. Add Jilukara,Mustard seed and Karvepaku leaves to the Oil.
3. Add Greenchilli,chopped onions and fry for sometime
4. Add Tumaric powder(Pasupu) and stir for sometime until the onions and chilli get fried.
5. Add the rice then stir well. See that rice is nicely mixed with fried onions and chilli.
6. Add Sufficient Salt to taste and stir the whole rice and check if salt and Chilli is sufficient.If you require more chilli add some red chilli powder and mix well
7. At last add Corriander leaves on top the rice.
8.Optional : You can also add little Qty of Lemon juice in your rice n eat.
9. Its ready to eat now the tasty poni annamu or popu annamu dish
