How to See if Your Site is in the Yahoo! Search Index?

You can search by entering an identifiable phrase that matches the title or description of the web page you are looking for into the Yahoo! Search box. For example, if the page is titled "My Dog Sophie," use that phrase in quotations for your search. If there are too many search results, try using a longer, more unique phrase from the text on the page.

Example: My Dog Sophie + Sophie the wonder dog

The words that match your search terms are highlighted in your results.

Site & URL Restricted Searches
Because the database might not recognize multiple syntax formats for the same URL, searching by the website URL might not tell you whether the site is in our search index.

For example, you might search for http://123foo.com, while Yahoo! might have indexed your page as http://www.123foo.com.

To search for your site by its domain, search with site: preceding the domain.

Example: 123foo.com (where "123foo.com" reflects your site's domain name)

You can also do a URL restricted search using the format url: This instructs Yahoo! Search to find a specific document in our index.

Example: url:http://edit.autos.yahoo.com/repair/tree/0.html

If your search topic or webpage include "adult" content, it might not be included in the results unless you have elected to turn off the SafeSearch feature on Yahoo! Search.
