Yuki Bhambri gets top billing

VIJAYAWADA: India's Yuki Bhambri and Vishnu Vardhan are seeded one and two respectively in the International Tennis Federation Futures men's circuit tournament that begins at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation tennis complex here on Monday.
The seventeen-year-old Yuki, who has flown in from Miami after playing in an ATP tournament is keen to give his best shot as he is in search of his first title win of the year. “I lost to Uzbekistan's Dennis Istomin, ranked World No. 75 in the first round of the qualifiers. I am looking forward to performing well in this tournament,” he said.
Another Indian, who is raring to go, is Karan Rastogi, who bounced back from an injury to clinch the ITF title at Chandigarh defeating Frenchman Romain Sichez in the final.
The following players — Akash Wagh, Igor Karpov, Kamala Kannan, S.V. Abhishek, Peter Aarts, Sebastian Lavie, Ilia Starkov and Alexei Filenkov — have made to the singles main draw.
