Types of Link Building

There are seven types of link building available in the SEO “off page” optimization technique.

1. One-way Link

In this type, one site gives link to another website. In return, another website does not give link to the website in which its website link is posted. For example: Your client will give link to your website from their website. But in return, you will not give link to their website from your website. This is one of the best ways, but it is very difficult because of the above reason (i.e., you are not going to give back link to their website from your website).

2. Reciprocal Link

In this type, both parties will exchange their website link for their mutual benefit. For example: Your client will give link to your website from their website. In return, you will also give link to their website from your website. This is one of the easiest ways, but search engines give less importance to this type when compared to the one way link.

3. 3-way Link

Site A => Site B => Site C => Site A

In this type, site-A gives link to site-B, in return site-B gives link to site-C and in return site-C gives link to site-A. This 3-way link building is something different and difficult one when compared to the one-way and reciprocal link building because you will give link to site-A from your website, but in return finally you will have to get link from some other website that is linked to site-A. So this way, each website’s gets one-way link with each other, not the reciprocal link.

4. Link from Article

In this type, submitting articles (with the link to your website) in the article directories or related websites give one-way link to your website because in return you are not going to give link to those article directories from your website. This is the best and easy way and also long-term result.

5. Link from Blog

In this type, submitting blogs (with the link to your website) in the blog related websites give one-way link to your website because in return you are not going to give link to that blog related websites from your website. This is the best and easy way and also long-term result. Also, when compared to articles submission, this is the effective way because user interaction gives more plus. As, if anything goes wrong, users will try to correct themselves. But, this is not possible in article.

6. Link from Press Release

In this type, submitting press releases (with the link to your website) in the press release directories or related websites give one-way link to your website because in return you are not going to give link to those press release websites from your website.

7. Link from Directory

In this type, submitting your website in the directories gives one-way link to your website because in return you are not going to give link to those directories from your website.
