BANGALORE: Golden Threads (Ernakulam) rallied well to make it 2-2 against BEML (Bangalore) in the ONGC second division I-League Group ‘A' matches at the Football Stadium here on Tuesday.
In another match, Malabar United put it across Titanium Travancore 2-1. BEML shot into lead in the fourth minute, thanks to a brilliant effort by R.C. Prakash, who slotted home a Hamza Agaba square past Golden Threads custodian Jinesh Thomas.
But in the 14th minute Sanju Veenara, who scored the match-winner against SBT in the league opener on Saturday, levelled the scores with a low header following an Abhijith cross from the right.
After the break, BEML, which failed to convert the chances it got against HASC, did not miss this time around as Don Bosco essayed a snap shot from the edge of the box in the 56th minute to which Jinesh had no clue. However, Sanju equalised with a brilliant volley from outside the box off a ball that rebounded off a defender.
Earlier, Titanium looked listless against an equally mediocre Malabar United. Titanium took the lead in the 42nd minute through Prashanth Simpson, who slotted in an Ebinrose through that was initiated by Jistin.
