Tirupur: The 30th India Knit Fair (IKF) this year will give adequate focus on showcasing apparels produced of man-made fibres to encourage the textile entrepreneurs to diversify from the traditional cotton-based knitwear products. “More use of synthetic fabrics will, thus, help the manufacturers to come out with a wide range of artefacts including winter wears and swim wears, among others, and thereby give value-addition to their product portfolio,” India Knit Fair Association chairman A. Sakthivel told reporters here on Thursday. The IKF is being jointly organised by India Knit Fair Association, Apparel Export Promotion Council and Tirupur Exporters Association.
Meeting
This edition of IKF would commence with a curtain raiser ‘Young entrepreneurs meet with Union Textiles secretary' scheduled for April 20.
Besides this, an exporters' meeting was also planned on the same day before the actual fair commences on April 21 at the IKF Complex near Avinashi.
