To make Brightness control work in laptop with fedora

For Making Brightness control to work in fedora installed in laptop

Set the brightness level by going to System -> Preferences -> System -> Powermanagement
and then execute the following command as root

The screen will blink and the setting may not reflect immediately.
Restart the machine and things should work fine.
