Onion Chutney
Ingredients:
* ½ cup onion
* 10 red chilies
* 15 g Urad dal (black gram - split)
* 10 g tamarind
* 3 tbsps gingelly oil
* Salt to taste
Making Onion Chutney
1. Chop onions and fry in 1 tbsp oil until they become transparent. Set aside.
2. In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the red chilies and dal.
3. Grind the fried ingredients, onions and salt at high speed for 2 minutes to form a smooth paste.
4. Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the ground chutney for 10 minutes. This can be preserved for 2 to 3 days.
