Cant firefox remember your login ?

I had a problem in Firefox 3.0 and later version about remembering my login.

I used to set option to "remember me / remember my login" for many websites instead of logging in for each time.

It was working fine but when i upgraded firefox 3.0 it started to misbehave. It will store the logging session when i'm using the browser but once i closed the browser and restart firefox again, i have to login again .

I tried upgrading firefox again but it also went in vein.

At last the following technique worked for me.

Find the cookies.sqlite file in the profile folder.

The profile folder can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

and you will find folder something like "yo0g253g.default", the characters before ".default" can be a random one.

Open that folder and search for "cookies.sqlite" file , backup that file in some other folder (you may need it later for any other purpose) and then delete that file. You need to close the firefox before deleting this file.

Then restart firefox . Then login to a website and check the option "Remember me" and then close firefox and restart again. Go to the same website again. you should be automatically logged in.

I think the above will fix the problem
