RAR Vs WinZip
RAR has gained much popularity in many non-English speaking countries, particularly because WinZip files do not allow non-English characters. Though .zip is preferred over .rar in most English-speaking countries, RAR has one major advantage: RAR files compress and uncompress files without any loss to the original data. This is called "lossless compression," as compared with "lossy compression" done by other compression software that is used to compress music files into .mp3 or .jpg files.
