LALATE BREAKING NEWS 11:23 PM PST TUESDAY.
At 10 pm tonight, a sudden fire erupted in Anaheim Hills. By 10:30, the fire had burned 20 acres. By 11:30, it’s now at 35 acres.
The 241 Toll Road is now closed at Windy Ridge. The area is experiencing 50 mph humid winds prompting a red flag fire warning from the NWS.
30 engines, 90 firefighters were on scene by 10 pm. Wind gusts were reported over 53 mph, humidity down to 3%. The fire is burning south of the 91. By 110:30, 100 firefighters are on scene, 30 engines, no water tankers.
Residents are advised to be ready for late night evacuations. The fire is advancing toward homes.
Road closures are the State Route (241) both directions closed southbound at the (91) to northbound at Santiago Canyon Road. The res of the 91 Freeway is open.
