The nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar has completed 81 years today the 28th Sept
The singer has lent her voice to almost every actress of Bollywood. The recipient of Bharat Ratna has sung for more than 1,000 movies. Not only Hindi but the most talented singer has also sung for thirty six different regional languages.
Lata didi also won the ‘Guinness book of world record’ for recording maximum songs between the years 1974 to 1991.
She also received many other awards during her singing career that include Padma Bhushan (1969), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1989), Maharashtra Bhushan Award (1997), NTR National Award (1999), Bharat Ratna (2001) and three National Film Awards.
Lata didi started her singing career in the year 1942 and is active up till date.
