Karnataka government declared that all schools and colleges in the state would remain closed on September 30 and October one in the wake of Ayodhya verdict on Thursday.
The official sources said that this decision has been taken as a precautionary step in case any disputes arise after the verdict.
The Allahabad High Court will be declaring the Ayodhya verdict on September 30, 2010 at 3:30 pm. This decision came after the Supreme Court rejected the plea to defer the verdict on this sensitive case.
The petition to defer the case by retired bureaucrat Ramesh Chand Tripathi was rejected by the Supreme Court bench comprising Justices KS Radhakrishnan, Aftab Alam and Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia on Tuesday.
