Ayodhya verdict: IT firms tweak work hours
Information Technology companies are not taking any chances.
IT major Infosys has given its employees a day off on Thursday. Security at the company’s office was also put on alert, sources said.
India’s third largest software services exporter Wipro has changed its work timings.
“We have a half-day tomorrow,” said a Wipro employee. Many employees are also planning to work from home.
Many other companies, including Bosch, the German automotive technology company, too has tweaked its work timings.
“Work hours are from 8 am to 2 pm, unlike normal days when work hours are from 10 am to 4 pm,” said a Bosch employee.
Aditya Birla Minacs has declared a holiday. Microsoft will work from 8 am to 2 pm.
Call center employees were asked to make necessary arrangements to stay near office.
