Oct 4 (FLS): Robot (Endhiran), one of the biggest Hindi released movie of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth being the most expensive Indian movie till date has broken all records at the Box-office as the revenue is being drawn incredibly.
According to the Box Office collection report, the Robot film has made whooping Rs 100 crore collections and counting is still on. Box-office collections were reportedly Rs 50 crore in first three days.
Although the movie received a lukewarm response on the opening day the number of viewers of the movie increased stupendously with the passage of time. As per report of the distributor in Mumbai, the occupancies in the theatre on Friday were around 40-45 percent. While on Saturday and Sunday, the occupancies went up to 90%and in some places nearly 100 %.
Devang Sampat, president – operations, Cinemax India told to the media that the occupancy is 100%in South and more people were queuing up to buy tickets for which ever show they get, even if it was after a week.
Film trade analyst Komal Nahata said that in some places tickets were even sold for Rs. 5000 in black.
Sun production Sci-Fi film has been doing great business abroad. The cine critics say that the film has already commercially hit but it is the best film of Rajinikanth. It made a fantastic collection at the box office in the very opening weekend. If everything goes well “Endhiran” has a possibility of being one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of cinema.
