Navratri Colours 2010 – Dress Colors during Navaratri

During the nine days of Navratri there is a custom of wearing different colour dress – Sarees (Sari) and Churidhar – mainly in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Information on what are the Navratri 2010 colours usually appears a couple of days before in local Gujarati and Marathi newspapers. But sadly there are some blogs and websites that are spreading wrong information regarding the nine colors of Navratri in 2010. Stay away from misinformation and wait for the local newspapers to publish the Navaratri colors so that you don’t make mistake in dressing for Navratri to office and prayers.
We will publish the Navratri sari colors for 2010 as we receive it.

Update: The nine Navratri colors for 2010 published on local newspapers on October 6, 2010. They are:
Pratipada - October 8, 2010 (Friday) - Green
Dwitiya - October 9 (Saturday) - Grey
Tritiya - October 10 (Sunday) - Pink
Chaturthi - October 11 (Monday) - White
Panchami - October 12 (Tuesday) - Red
Shasti - October 13 (Wednesday) - Blue
Saptami - October 14 (Thursday) - Yellow
Ashtami - October 15 (Friday) - Violet
Navami - October 16 (Saturday) - Peacock Green (please note that peacock green is a mixture of Pure and blue - this color is just to give an idea.)
