CWG 2010: India wins 9th Gold

India on Wednesday inched close to the Australia in the CWG 2010 medal tally as far as Gold medal is concerned.

Indian shooter Omkar Singh and lifter Renu Blala Chanu won the 8th and 9th Gold model respectively for India on the third day of Commonwealth Games.

Shooter Omkar Singh shot gold in the 50 m air pistol event. Earlier, Omkar Singh and Deepak Sharma won the Silver in Shooting Pairs 50 M Pistol Men, event at the 19 Commonwealth Games 2010 on Tuesday.

Renu Bala Chanu won the gold in 58 kg women category. Chanu lifted 107 kg in clean and 90 kg in check and jerk.

So far India has bagged four gold medals on day third of the Commonwealth games. Australia is leading the medal tally with 12 Gold, 10 Silver and 6 Bronze. While India has total 18 medals, including 9 Gold, 7 Silver and 2 Bronze.
