The ICC on Wednesday announced its Test and ODI Team of the Year, as chosen by a specially appointed selection panel chaired by West Indian batting legend Clive Lloyd.
The announcement was made at the LG ICC Awards celebration at the Grand Castle, Bengaluru.
While Ricky Ponting was chosen as the skipper of the Test squad, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was chosen to lead the Test team.
The ODI team is dominated by Australia with five of its players making it to the XI. Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni represent India in the squad.
The Test team is more balanced and both India and South Africa have three representatives while Australia and England have 2 players in the eleven.
