Harbhajan Singh's Century Helps India to Draw 1st Test Against New Zealand

Spin bowler Harbhajan Singh scored his first century and VVS Laxman made 91 as India recovered to draw the first cricket Test against New Zealand.
Harbhajan, caught by BJ Watling off Ross Taylor for 115, and Laxman put on 163 for the seventh wicket. The hosts had slumped to 15-5 and 65-6, facing likely defeat at Ahmedabad.
Top-ranked India totaled 266 in its second innings after making 487 in its first. New Zealand, which hasn’t won a series in India in eight attempts, made 459 and 22-1. Chris Martin took 5-63 in India’s second innings.
The second match in a three-Test series starts at Hyderabad on Nov. 12.
