2010: Bollywood Top Ten Actresses

Actresses come and go, but only a few remain. 2010 was no different in this respect. Here's a look at some of the actresses who gripped our attention...

Any Best Actress list would be incomplete without Kajol. Her flawless acting and amazing dynamics with Shah Rukh Khan in My Name Is Khan left the audience wanting for more.

Raavan may not have been a hit, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's performance in the film was much appreciated. Later, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish that gave Ash the much-needed acclaim. Not only did the former Miss World look stunning, but she delivered a heart-felt performance too.

A Bollywood beauty who has done it all is the versatile Kareena Kapoor. Swinging back from the 'average' We Are Family, Kareena delivered a fun-tastic performance as Daboo in the multi-starrer Golmaal 3.

Katrina Kaif floored the critics with her performance in Prakash Jha's Raajneeti. Though her trump card is still her beauty, you could see her hard work in the movie, specially with the lengthy Hindi dialogues. Katrina has finally arrived on the Best Actress list!

Deepika Padukone has proved that she is the perfect 'girl-next-door'. So when it came to Bollywood flicks like Kartik Calling Kartik, Housfull and Break ke Baad, Deepika got her act perfected. She plays the challenging role of the feisty Kalpana Dutta in the recently released Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, but it is yet to be seen if she can break out from the mould.

Priyanka Chopra did it again with her performance in Anjaana Anjaani. Even though the script wasn't great, and it was no Fashion, Priyanka still delivered!

No one else could have pulled off Sonam Kapoor's character in Aisha. The fashionista that she is, Sonam gave the impression that we had stepped into her world. But before that little pet project came around, Sonam had a hit in her kitty already in the form of I Hate Luv Stories.

Who would have thought Vidya Balan could play a femme fatale? She shed her good girl stereotype with Ishqiya, earlier this year. And she did carry off the character of the mysterious and seductive Krishna Verma well.

Sonakshi Sinha got really lucky! But what else is expected when you have Shatrughan Sinha as your father and Salman Khan as your godfather? The actress delivered a megahit that is Dabangg.
