How To Activate Siri in the iPhone 4S?
As you probably already know, Siri is the spotlight of the show when it comes to the iPhone 4S. Everybody wants to try it out. However, when you first bought it and turned it on, and after setting up and all, you’ll be surprised that the old voice recognition prompts up when you hold the home button. What is going on? Well, Siri is turned off by default. To turn it on, you need to head down to ‘Settings > General‘. You will also have the option to turn on ‘Raise To Speak‘ where if you’re not making a phone call, putting your iPhone to your ears will enable Siri as if you were holding down the home button.
If you asked Siri for directions to a certain place [It's currently US only], Siri will request you to turn on ‘Location Service‘ first. Siri is listed under ‘Location Service‘ in ‘Settings‘.
