This brief tutorial will show you how to connect from a Windows machine via Remote Desktop connection to Fedora with Xrdp Server installed. Connecting to Linux systems via RDP Protocol from Windows machines hasnt always been easy, but with Xrdp Server, you can do it with ease. Xrdp provides a fully functional Linux terminal server that will accept connections from remote client via RDP Protocol.
Steps:
>>To get started, go to System >> Administration >> Add/Remove Software.
Then search for and install Xrdp Server.
>>After installing, go to Applications >> System Tools >> Terminal and run the command below to start xrdp server.
>>su -c /etc/init.d/xrdp start
>>go to System >> Administration >> Firewall.
>>Then under Other Ports click Add and select ms-wbt-server tcp port 3389, then click Apply to save.
>>Next, open Remote Desktop Connection in Windows and type the Hostname or IP Address of the Fedora machine and click Connect.
>>Then type your username and password for the Fedora machine to logon.
