Kuviyamila Tamil Word Meaning | குவியமில தமிழ் சொல் அர்த்தம்

The song "Ennamo Yedho" from tamil movie "KO" has won the hearts of many in 2011.

There is a catching phrase in that song, "Yeno kuviyamila.. kuviyamila oru kaatchi pezhai..", where 'Kuviamila' is a pleasant surprising Tamil word bought by the lyricist Madhan Karky who is none other than the son of famous Tamil lyricist and poet Kavi Perarasu Vairamuthu.

He gives a beautiful explanation for that term as follows,

People ask me the meaning of the word 'kuviyamila' 'குவியமில'. Kuviyam denotes 'focus' and 'kuviyamila' 'குவியமில' means out of focus.

The hero of the film is a photographer. A photographer's confusion can best be described in his own work jargon as 'kuviyamila' 'குவியமில' or 'out of focus'.

Kaatchi Pezhai describes a display unit such as a TV monitor or a PC monitor. The photographer sees his entire world in the display unit in which nothing seems to be in focus and he questions the reason for this in the song.
