Get Rid of Doubleclick Popup Ads
1. Navigate to "
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories," then right click on "
Notepad," and click "Run as Administrator." Click "OK", if you are asked for permission to continue.
2. Click "
File -> Open" to bring up the file navigator and select "
All Files" in the file type drop-down menu.
3. Navigate to "
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc" and open the "
Hosts" file.
4. At the bottom of the file, paste this line of text: "
127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net"
5. Save the Hosts file and exit Notepad.
