Saint Valentine's Day, known as Valentine's Day it is called Feast of Saint Valentine, is observed on February 14 every year.
Who is Saint Valentine
Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome at AD 269 and was buried on the Via Flaminia.
What he done
That time Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families. So he outlawed marriage for young men for his country. The Saint, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret.

Valentine's actions were discovered to him, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

When popularly celebrated
Great Britain began to be popularly celebrated around the 17th century.
