Multiplication of 112 trick - using vedic maths
Rules:
Rule 1 : Putting 2 dots on both the sides. Dot value consider as a zero.
Rule 2 : Start from RHS dot, taking 3 digits at a time. Keep on adding, twice of third last digit is added to the sum of last and second last digit. If you have carry value, carry the next 3 digits.
Rule 3 : Write answer in reverse order.
Example: 438 X 112
Rule 1 : ..438..
Rule 2 : Take 2 dots and 8, (2x8 ) + 0 + 0 = 16 =
6 (carry 1)
Take next 3 digits, dot, 8 and 3, (2x3) + 8 + 0 + 1 (carry) = 15 =
5 (carry 1)
Take next 3 digits, 8, 3 and 4, (2x4) + 3 + 8 + 1 (carry) = 20 =
0 (carry 2)
Take next 3 digits, 3, 4 and dot, (2x0) + 4 + 3 + 2 (carry) =
9
Take next 3 digits, 4 and 2 dots, (2x0) + 0 + 4 =
4
Rule 3 : Write answer in backwards,
438 X 112 = 49056
