Stop Guest Blogging for Link Building Strategy

Matt Cutts, advices SEO's to stop guest blogging purely for link building. He says Guest blogging is for exposure, branding, increased reach, community, etc. and not for low quality spam blogs with some spammy links for websites.

In mid-2013, John Mueller gave spot on advice about nofollowing links in guest blog posts. In mid-2013, a ton of people saw the clear trend towards guest blogging being overused by a bunch of low-quality, spammy sites.

He added that Google received lot of reports on guest blogging that are really paying for PageRank. That's a clear violation of Google's quality guidelines.

So, its better to stop using guest blogging as a way to gain links in 2014 to avoid Google Penalties.
