I.Q.= MA / CA x 100
MA - mental age
CA - calendar age
EXAMPLE:
I.Q. = 8 / 8 x 100
I.Q = 100
TO FIND IQ OF A PERSON THE ABOVE FORMULA USED.
8 year old girl/boy has to answer list of question which comprises of a seven-year-old, Nine, and ten-year-old.
After she/he answered the question, the skilled psychologist evaluate the answers.
Let's assume that the 8 year old girl/boy has answered all the questions for the eight year old
and remaining questions suitable for his age.
But she/he has not answered even one of the "9-year olds" questions.
Then we can say that his/her mental age is equal to his/her calendar age as shown above in the formula.
Suppose if the 8 year old girl/boy had solved all the Nine-year old questions, then the formula is
I.Q. = 9 / 8 x 100
I.Q = 112.5
