three eye lizard

The tuatara lizard of New Zealand has three eyes, two in the center of its head and one on the top of its head.

It is a pronounced parietal eye, dubbed the "third eye", whose current function is a subject of ongoing research.
To add up, they are able to hear although no external ear is present.
