Network Manager icon not showing up lubuntu

By default, Network Manager icon doesn't show in lubuntu task bar panel.
Apply the below process to get Network Manager icon to be displayed in taskbar panel lubuntu.
* Press start button.
* Select Preferences -> Default applications for LxSession
* Hit "autostart" tab, in the right pane type "nm-applet" in the textbox provided under "Manual autostarted applications".
* Enter "Add" button to add the application in startup.
* Logout and login your session to check the icon enabled.
