By The Next Full Moon

To you it never mattered who was around,
I am your girl and you showed me off to the town.
You held my hand everywhere we went,
and kissed me in the moments when I least expected it.
Our kisses were sincere,
our lips touched and all of the world around us seemed to disappear.
I never thought it would be possible for me to feel this way,
but keep this up and I will be sure to stay.
There’s this look in your eye that held my heart dear,
and when you told me you loved me it was very clear.
I never had any worries, troubles, or fears,
when I was with you there were no chances for tears.
I hate that our visit had to end so soon,
but I will have been back in your arms twice by the next full moon.
