Swine flu is an infection caused by a virus. Swine Flu also known as swine influenza, hog flu and pig flu. It is named for a virus basically found in pigs. In 2009 Swine Flu spread due to the new strain of swine-origin A H1N1 virus.

Symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache and fatigue.

As the swine influenza A H1N1 virus is a new virus, no swine flu vaccine is available to prevent infections. Experts are working on a swine flu vaccine.
Prevention and Precaution for Swine Flu
* Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you sneeze or cough.
* Wash your hands with soap and water after cough or sneeze.
* Trying to avoid close contact with sick people.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
* If you get sick you should stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
* On the bus or in a car, sit near an open window.
* Get plenty of exercise and eat healthy foods to keep your immune system
